Doug has three daughters: Kirsty (Dan), BC; Jody (Gerry), BC; and Tannis, MB.
Doug's wife, Lenore, has two daughters: Shannon (Chris), MB; Susan (Derek), ON.
Between them, they have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
